Kansas City, Missouri––The 3rd Annual Up 2 Par for City Union Mission Golf Tournament hosted by KCWJ 1030 The Light takes place on Monday, September 21 at the Swoop Memorial Golf Course in Kansas City, Mo. Proceeds from the event will provide warm beds, nutritious food and a place of safety for thousands of poor or homeless men, women and children.
The event kicks off with a modified shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. followed by a silent auction and awards lunch. Missouri Wizards Soccer players, Matt Beler, Michael Harrington, Michael Kraus and Kevin Souter will be playing.
"The poor have a very special place in God's plan. Part of that plan is for God's people to reach out with appropriate help. City Union Mission is one of His instruments for ministering to the poor," says City Union Mission’s Executive Director Rev. Dan J. Doty.
This year, the golfer who gets a hole in one on the 13th hole will split a $50,000 prize with City Union Mission. In addition, there will be prizes for a hole in one at any of the other par three holes.
